OUR STORY
Mantis first started in 2002 when lead founder and artist, Andrew
Cook started drawing and selling "Stick Mafia" with his brother
Ted Cook. Most of his other friends were making different comics
as well.
Eventually the craze petered out but left one man standing, and
that was Andrew Cook. He (I) continued with this comic for a while
which, to his shame,
could not live up to the name of Mantis Comics. So eventually a new
comic rose to the podium. This was the rare series of Carnage
Comix. At first it was considered a "rookie" in the comic book craze
at that time. But eventually as the series continued, in less than a
year Mantis had created a whopping 35 issue graphic novel that
became well known throughout the craze (bonus edition series
finale is 5 issues in 1) .
